Web producer on Facebook

Who I am and what I do

Alessandro SerenaI’m a web producer.

It would be great if those few words were enough. Unfortunately, people don’t know what a web producer does and they often confuse them with webmasters, web designers or content producers.

My job is to manage the budget provided for the creation of a website, trying to get best at the most competitive prices.

Usually everything starts by analyzing the client’s goals since they rarely have a clear hierarchical/creative structure. It’s not unusual for the success of the project to depend on this first assessment: how much to spend, what to develop, which services to suggest and how much it’s all going cost, right down to the very soul of the site.

After the project has been defined and approved, we move on to the operations stage, with my team of professionals. I’ve worked with each of them many times over and I know what to ask for and how much time it will take. A new team is created each time, to meet the project’s specific needs, and often I have one or more sector professionals for specialist areas: a helicopter pilot for exteriors, a fashion photographer, an iPad programmer.

The projects I manage are one of two specific types: one is optimized to keep costs right down and the other is dedicated to bespoke projects, often using a larger number of professional figures.

This site includes an anthology of my work, advice on what you should ask people who create websites, and more information on interesting web sector topics.

Enjoy!
